Our colleague Vijay Vazirani was selected a 2011 Guggenheim Fellow by the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation at its Board of Trustees meeting on April 6. Only 180 fellows were chosen from a pool of almost 3,000 applicants, and only two fellowships were given to computer scientists.
